On Wednesday, January 26^th, testimony was offered by numerous Northeast Pennsylvania officials at a Senate Republican Party Policy Committee hearing regarding the impact of Marcellus Shale natural gas drilling.

Among the issues discussed were the possibility of imposing an impact fee to drilling companies, environmental issues stemming from roadside ditches, and the effects of the increasing truck traffic.
